Epsom salts + essential oils for fragrance are all you really need!
Just take your Epsom salts, and pour them into a bowl. A 2 lb. box (a little over 4 cups).
Add 40 drops essential oils.
Our favorite scent for our homemade fabric softener crystals is a combination of 20 drops of Lavender and 20 drops of Lime.
But you can really just add whatever scent you take pleasure in the most. The simple fact is, you could definitely have it be non-scented if you wanted to save even more money. The salts alone soften your clothes.
After you add in the oils, mix it all up until completely mixed. It took less than 2 minutes of mixing.
Store them in an airtight container or better yet, pour them into your homemade laundry recipe.
The smell seems strong in the jar, but it’s not as strong on your clothes coming out of the dryer. Our clothes do smell fantastic and they are so soft using this recipe.
Recipe:
• 4 Cups Epsom Salts
• 40 drops Essential Oils
Mix them together and you are done.
